We opened the first supermarket to exist in the Romanian town of Focsani in 1999. Since 2001, we have been known as SUPERMARKET MARA, with the motto " for your family ". We form part of the most important holding in the county of Vrancea, ROSCA GROUP. This holding, which also comprises ROSCA CONF S.R.L., MOPAF S.A., UNIPLAST-R S.R.L., I.T.G. (TRICOTAJE) S.A. and EFECTOFIL S.A, has a total of more than 4500 employees.
    As of 5th September 2003, through our partnership with MOPAF S.A., we have also been selling furniture of different materials and types under the slogan " quality goods, at manufacturers' prices! ", with delivery to the customer's door and assembly in the home .
    As well as having the first supermarket in Focsani, as of 21st August 2004 we have been "twice as strong", through the opening of a second Mara supermarket supplied and stocked to Western standards.
    We have managed to maintain a dominant position in the town by constantly diversifying our range of products and services. As things stand, we are unique in providing staff with a rolling training program - following our own customer service guide - and we have photo and currency exchange counters . We are also able to offer a taxi service , thanks to our collaboration with a taxi firm. We set out our range of services in the pages of our fortnightly magazine , and prize draws and award schemes are always on offer to our customers. We only need to add that over 12 000 items are stocked on the shelves of the Mara supermarket chain and the Mara furniture store and you get some idea of the scale and importance of our business.
    For us the customer is key . Through contact with the customer, we realise that the decisive factors in choosing a retail outfit are price and quality , value for money , good customer service and quick and easy availability of products . From 15th February 2003, we have offered our customers the opportunity to buy a wide range of products at even lower prices by using the Mara Loyalty Card .
